The Magician

Auras that are mysterious and captivating,

Magicians who deceit you with acts while smiling;

Every look or touch that is exchanged is electrifying.

The passion cannot be contained or explained,

but his hands play with my emotions like a card game.

It spirals out of control, surfacing his true soul –

Feeling used and abused, battered and bruised; I reach for a glimmer of hope.

My colorful aura reaches for his,

while holding on to the most important card like a magician whiz.

The closer I get, the darker his silhouette –

He attempted to leave me scarred,

I vanished before he could play his next card.
