The Last Train Home

An epiphany that arrived for me –

Bearer of visions – happiness –

That greeted my astray trail unapologetically –

Life stood suspended between two places –

With a new dawn of reflected possibilities.

I could not fathom the sweetest of chills –

For a calling that awaited impatiently –

Overwhelmed – consumed by fear –

The ground shook my stance – hastily –

For the past had departed – leaving my soul bare –

Now destiny has dealt with me.
